Wigan Athletic Fc ... Kudos to you

I have just finished watching a match between Wigan Athletic Fc and Chelsea... Man ... i must say the team from Wigan really earn my respect... I mean, who would have thought Wigan , a newly promoted side would had held Chelsea until injury time before Crespo scored the winner ( 90+3 mins) I mean .. Wigan Fc, last year , at this time, they were fighting their way up , battling with 21 other teams to clinch a place in EPL ...When they were promoted... People were laughing.. haha , Wigan is going down ... I was one of those fools that laugh at them ... MAN !!! Was i wrong or what..

This is a real team being built by mostly formed by unknown players and they are really keen to prove a point..and in fact they did it...i mean Chelsea , a 100- 200 million dollars team was really struggling against a team who is valued at 3 million in all... Put it this way ... team Wigan = half of a Chelsea reserve player ? But they have proved that who needs a multimillion team... Those lads played their heart out...

De Zeeuw, A reject from Portsmouth, Camara from southhampton and Henchoz ( reject from liverpool) They were all out to prove their worth for this club who believe in them and they did more than that .. i believe after today , Wigan will be a team that people will talk about... So what if they had lost.. but they fought till the end and almost won...Even Jose ( chelsea coach) Claim that Wigan should not have lost...

Well ..Wigan... I totally am proud of you guys and i believe if you continue to prove your worth, we will see you again next year in EPL...


In conclusion.... i only have one thing to add...


FOOTBALL IS A CRUEL GAME....( Wigan defended till the very end and just before the ref blowed the whistle... Crespo scored... OUCH )


Wigan ... YOU HAVE LOST.. But you earn respect and you can lift your head up high....
